Didim or Altinkum, Altin=Gold kum=sand put the two together and you get Goldensand, which is
exactly what you get in Altinkum, is a small resort on the Aegean coast, in an area called
Didyma, between Kusadasi and Bodrum. To get there you fly into either Izmir or Bodrum/Milas
airports, followed by a two and a half or one and half hour transfer respectively. Most airlines
now fly to Bodrum from the UK and most other European countries. Travellers from outside will
Europe usually fly into Istanbul and then transfer to Bodrum. The Aegean shores of Turkey are
